Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, as stated by municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by regional authorities.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and more than 30 missiles targeted energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child died and several individuals were hurt.

The attacks come after evenings of bombing campaigns in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the national power system, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
